Dermabrasion works, also time. Lots of time. I am still covering mine with foundation make-up but my friend had dermabrasion and she looks great. She said her face was sore and it looked like bad sun burn so she had it done over the summer when there was no school. I might get that done if my insurance covers it, and my timing has to be right. Don't worry so much about acne scars, they are really NO different than freckles and actually adds to some peoples personality.What is a good product to remove scars from acne?
Clinique makes a product used to help reduce the appearance of post acne scars. This won't get rid of them, but it will help to reduce the appearance of them. If you have light skin, they may be more noticeable. You may consider using a self gradual tanner that will help to mask the scars too.
If you have insurance, it's well worth the $20 co-pay to see a professional, a dermatologist. They can prescribe ointments that drastically reduce scarring and even out the skin, bleaching (not actually bleach, you know what I mean) products to take the darkening out of a scarred area, laser treatment for really tough areas, etc. Over the counter stuff is never comparable, and I've found I end up spending the same amount of money on the over the counter garbage when I could get something 10X more effective through the dermatologist, especially when it comes to scarring. If you don't have insurance, Mederma works, but it isn't as effective as the prescription stuff.
You can't remove scars, that's why they are called scars, haha. But you can diminish the appearance of them. They sell special creams to help with that. Also, EV Olive Oil is great to smooth skin! :)
