Keloid Scars, How can I make it disappear?

I have a scar on my elbow, apparently its called Keloid. The doctor said if theres nothing wrong with it (hurts or something) then dont worry about it. but i dont like the appearance, I would like to have it removed. But the thing is that, if i do get it remove, I most likely will have stitches on my elbow, i willl have less skin there, so am i able to move my elbow like how i usually move?
