I have terrible scars from an attack of sandfly bites on a recent trip to India. any tips to help them go?

The scars have developed into dark purple marks despite me not scratching or aggravating them. I'm currently using vitamin e oil and elizabeth arden 8 hour cream, but if anyone has any tips at all I would be very grateful!

BIO OIL!!! seriously it's THE best thing for scars!! You can buy it from most pharmacists and chemists!
Well there is those annoying products made by the people who make ';Head On';. I dotn really think they work but they got a scar removr. Might as well try it out even if they are annoying.

There is also expensive surgery but in a surgery room anyhtign can go wrong. And if you can, and if u want to, u can hide the scars under clothing if they are on ur body or something.
You really need to see your GP. Sandfly can carry a parasite called leishmania which is becoming more common in travellers to some parts of Africa, India, Asia, South America and the Middle East. The cutaneous (skin) form is the most common presentation. Leishmaniasis in fact used to be called oriental sore because of the scarring and ulceration of the skin. Most lesions will heal spontaneously, but can take many months to heal, sometimes leaving scarring. There is some evidence that paromomycin ointment is very effective. However, discuss this with your GP, as a skin biopsy from the lesions will be needed to see if you are infected. It is highly likely you are simply suffering from a reaction to sandfly bites which will heal in time, but it is important to find out if it it is something requiring specialist treatment, especially as you have visited an affected area recently.
NOTHING works like Cocoa Butter, every night lather on a thin layer of cocoa butter cream (as pure as you can get it) and wash it off in the morning, you will be astonished at the results, they erased deep chicken pox scars from my face, just make sure you do not use it in the daytime or you will get uneveness.
I agree - try Bio Oil it is really good or Decleor Prolagen gel its good also
