Whats the best over the counter treatment for scars (one that actually works)?

I have keloids or raised scars. Mederma doesn't work. What's a scar product that i can get at the local grocery store that works?Whats the best over the counter treatment for scars (one that actually works)?
Most over-the-counter treatments for scars are going to have the same ingredients in them - stuff that's normally used as sunscreen and a ton of Vitamin E. So it stands to reason that if you just treat the scars with sunscreen and vitamin E, you can achieve the same results. Bear in mind, however, that nothing is going to be a 'quick fix'. Most of these products are intended for use over the period of 6 months to a year.

I've had luck with Prefer On. I have a lot of scalpel scars that are bright red and noticeable.Whats the best over the counter treatment for scars (one that actually works)?
neosporin
There's something called Scar-Gone or something with a similar name that is sold in the medication section at Walmart.
Raised scars are actually called hypertrophic scars. You are correct that Mederma does not work. Most designer scar products are pure BS. The suggestion of lemon juice is the best answer yet since it contains citric acid, but there are a lot of other natural products that work as well or better.
lemon lemon lemon!!! worked for me! try it.sqeeze lemon get cotton ball and put on scars.leave on for 15 min and rinse with warm water
